Studio Background


NilaA Architecture and Urban Design is a design agency specializing in innovative projects and initiatives in architecture and urban design. It was established in Boston in 2009 led by Nishant Lall and relocated to New Delhi in 2010.

He has extensive expertise in international urban renewal and regeneration projects and other city wide urban initiatives for improving urban spaces.

 
Nishant Lall is an architect & urban design professional with more than 18 years of experience in architecture and urban design projects worldwide. He is currently a visiting faculty to the Department of Urban Design at School of Planning and Architecture. He has also taught earlier at Boston Architectural Center in Boston for two years and been on several juries in Boston area colleges. He has also published many articles and currently advisory panel for Landscape Journal, journal of Landscape India. He has founded the design studio in Delhi since 2009 after working in renowed firms in Boston and Los Angeles from 2000-2009.

His additional engagements at professional groups include:

Urban Design Advisor, World Bank India, Urban Resilience and Disaster Risk 2016-2023

-              Visiting Professor, Masters Studio in Urban Design, SPA Delhi, Since 2009

-              Urban Design Expert Panel, Rastrapati Bhawan Conservation Scheme / Lutyen Delhi Zone with INTACH and IUDI , 2013-2015
